For our players U9 and above we have Recreational Level and Academy. Most of our teams starting at U7 and up play teams from around the Des Moines Metro area. Teams U9 and up play a larger variety of teams around central Iowa, for a better soccer experience. All teams play at least 7 games per season. Our club relies heavily on our amazing team of volunteer coaches. Designed to have fun, introduce skills, and the rules of the game. Coaches are volunteers. Teams usually practice 1-2 evenings a week and play a 7 game schedule. A majority of our club is at this level. Teams are made by birth year and rules are modified. U6 is 3v3, U8 is 4v4, U10 is 7v7, U12 is 9v9 and U13 and older are 11v11. Players who sign up for academy should love the game, possess above average skills, dominate in recreational games, be aggressive, able to maintain focus, and enjoy competition. Academy teams follow a set curriculum, focus on individual skills, and teams mix players every year if enough teams. Players are required to practice two times per week. This is called our Soccer Locker program. We will open Soccer Locker closer to the start of the Spring and Fall seasons. Soccer Locker is open to anyone who needs a pair of cleats, new socks, or shin guards.
